Branch Brook Park Alliance

The Branch Brook Park Alliance (BBPA) is a public/private partnership that provides design expertise and funding support to help Essex County revitalize Newark’s Branch Brook Park. WSITS worked with the alliance’s designer to upgrade the previous site, focusing on an updated design and intuitive, consistent navigation. Alliance staff also wanted to handle all site updates. WSITS provided strategic consulting and guidance to the site designer; integrated Kentico, a licensed content management system; migrated content from the existing site; and provided CMS training for alliance staff. Campaign for Disability Employment

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Campaign for Disability Employment wanted to expand its reach and engagement on social media. WSITS created an editorial calendar that highlighted dates important to the disability community - such as the anniversary of the ADA – and tracked relevant current events, then crafted content aimed at attracting fans and followers and getting them to participate in the conversation. WSITS also recommended organizations and individuals to connect with on the various social platforms. Short advertising flights on Facebook targeted toward users with an interest in disabilities -- indicated either by their self-identified interests or other pages they liked – also helped raise awareness of the campaign. After 10 months, the number of Likes on Facebook had increased 251 percent; the number of followers on Twitter had increased 927 percent and the members of the LinkedIn group had increased 55 percent. Most posts on Facebook are seen by 25 percent to 50 percent of the more than 16,000 users who have liked the page. Read More

Small Business Spotlight

Verizon wanted to build awareness of its small business products, capture customer information and ultimately drive sales among SO/HO (single owner, home-owned) businesses in the nine-state Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. WSITS designed and developed a microsite that focused on the hyper-local deals for products and services offered in the East Coast regions. Visitors are brought to the site through a number of methods, including a paid search campaign that uses zip code targeting to pre-sort business owners and direct them to custom URLs with specialized content focused on the products and packages available in their region.
